Career

I started my carear in photography in 1986, working for Christopher Bradbury in Royal Leamington Spa, I also attended the North Warwickshire College, learning about the apsects of photography, theory and wet processing skills. Whilst with Chris, he taught me how to take a photograph, and all about the art and skills needed to be a professional Photographer.

From here I joined John Wright photography, and worked in in the studios, technical advertising and brochure work, developing my skills with applied lighting, and working on some high profile corporate brochures from Kitchens, Bathrooms, Bedroom furniture, from design set build, dressing and photographing the sets.

Here was the big change, following my degree in Commercial Advertisng & Social Portrait photography, I left the UK, and worked around the world as a cruise ship photographer, here learning the skills to not only shoot quickly, but to how to deal with people from all walks of life, backgrounds and of course wet processing for colour film, and papers. Not only were we responsible for taking the photographs, but the processing, printing, and even selling the photographs we had taken. All this and floating at sea.

Over the last twenty years I have been a wedding photographer, working freelance for photographic studios around Warwickshire and Northamptonshire, until finally wanting to take the plunge and work for me, and I do! Snaps was born.
